Fix files and search results

New files do not appear

Confirm the file is inside an active library location, its extension is recognized, and the drive is online. Run Scan Library. Reauthorize the folder if macOS asks.

Results are incomplete

Check whether analysis is still queued. Natural Language search uses completed captions, keywords, and transcripts. Switch to Keywords for filenames or exact phrases. Clear date and media-type filters and confirm the correct project scope.

Results are too broad

Use a more specific description with subject, setting, action, or mood. Add a media-type or date filter. For exact matching, switch to Keywords.

A transcript is missing

Confirm the file contains audible speech, Grove Listen is ready, and the item did not enter a retry state. Some music-only or silent media will not produce useful speech text.
