Library Health activity, derived storage, and local resource status

Library Health summarizes:

  • Active analysis and queued work.
  • Missing or unavailable originals.
  • Derived storage used by analysis artifacts and previews.
  • Local resource limits and cache behavior.
  • Items that need attention or a retry.

Reclaim storage safely​

Storage reclamation removes completed analysis artifacts that Asset Grove can rebuild. It retains display thumbnails and motion previews when the cleanup action says so, and it never removes originals.

After reclaiming derived data, some future searches or analysis actions may need to recreate local working files. This trades disk space for later processing time.

If the app uses more storage than expected, first confirm the size and number of active libraries, then review Settings > Intelligence and Library Health before removing anything manually in Finder.
