System requirements for Asset Grove

Before setup, confirm that your Mac and storage are ready.

Required​

  • A Mac with Apple silicon.
  • macOS 14 or later.
  • An active Asset Grove account with a subscription or trial entitlement.
  • Read access to each folder or external drive you want to catalog.
  • Free space for the app's local intelligence, previews, and working files.

The three local-intelligence components use approximately 3.4 GB in total. Allow additional space for thumbnails, video previews, transcripts, captions, keywords, and the local search index. Larger libraries create more derived data.

Offline access​

After Asset Grove successfully refreshes an active entitlement, it can continue verifying access offline for up to 28 days. Connect to the internet before that period expires so the app can refresh your account status.

External storage​

You can store local intelligence on an external drive. Keep that drive connected when Asset Grove needs to load the models, and reauthorize the folder if macOS asks.
