Export structure and filename collisions
Before export, choose how the destination should be organized.
Folder structure
- Flat copies every selected original into one destination folder.
- Preserve folders recreates the relative library-folder structure beneath the destination.
Flat exports are simple for small deliveries. Preserved folders help large projects keep camera, day, or source organization.
When a filename already exists
- Rename keeps both files by creating a unique destination name.
- Skip leaves the existing destination file unchanged and records the source as skipped.
- Overwrite replaces the destination file with the exported copy.
Use Rename when you are unsure. Choose Overwrite only when the destination is disposable or you have confirmed the replacement is intended.
You can set defaults in Asset Grove > Settings > Export and still review the choices for each export.
