What stays on your Mac

Asset Grove is local-first.

Your original photos, videos, and audio remain in the folders and drives you choose. Captions, keywords, transcripts, previews, project membership, and the search index are created and stored locally. Asset Grove does not upload your archive to create its catalog.

Online access is used for account sign-in, entitlement checks, checkout or customer-portal pages, software updates, and downloading local-intelligence components. Those services do not require uploading your source media.

Originals

Asset Grove does not move, rename, delete, or modify originals. Removing a library location or cleaning a missing-file record removes derived app data only. Exporting a project creates copies in a destination you choose.
